The Farm at Agritopia is hosting another year of back to back chef driven farm to table dinners. Tickets for the first evening are sold out but you can purchase tickets for the second evening for Wednesday, October 28th. Cullen Campbell of Crudo will be the head chef, produce and other products will be provided by The Farm at Agritopia and local winery Dos Cabezas Wineworks and 4 Peaks brewery will also be featured. There will be an informal informational meeting regarding the upcoming construction of Generations at Agritopia, the long anticipated independent and assisted living facility . The meeting will be held for Agritopia residents and business owners on November 27th at 6pm in the cafeteria of Gilbert Christian School K-8 facility located in Agritopia. There will be representatives from the general contractor and Eric Johnston, head of operations for Generations at Agritopia. This is will be great way to find out more information about leasing, purchasing, service offerings and construction schedules and concerns.
The Agritopia Homeowner’s Association Social Committee is hosting it’s third annual Stems and Steins event on Saturday, November 10th at 6pm. This event is a great way share your favorite wines and beers and to connect with fellow neighbors. Cocktail attire is requested and cigars are encouraged. Dinner will be catered by Romeo’s Euro Cafe. We are encouraging neighbors to walk to the event, a coat and shoe check will be provided. This event is reserved for homeowners only. Along with your contribution of your favorite wine or beer, please bring canned food items for donation. Join our Fall 2012 CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture)
The 2012 fall CSA season starts September 29th and goes through November 17th. You will receive a weekly basket with a variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers naturally grown on our farm in Agritopia. The food baskets will vary from week to week depending on what is looking best in the fields at that time. The cost for the season is $200. The Agritopia Homeowners Association allocates a significant portion of dues to social events for the purpose of fostering community. On May 19, the first annual “Shaken, Not Stirred” event will be held at the Agritopia tennis courts from 7p to 10p. It is a Casino Night with BYOB Cocktails. Food will be provided by local restaurant, Flancer’s. While most of our events are for kids and families, this is an adult event (21 and over only, please) and has limited capacity, so please contact Gina Sharpe via the instructions stated in the flyer left on your door. For those of residents who have attended our annual “Stems and Steins”, you know what an entertaining evening it will be.
