It’s finally here! Agritopia’s own Farmer’s Market begins Wednesday, June 5th. Come every Wednesday evening from 4-8pm to enjoy food trucks and pick up local artisan food products alongside the Farm at Agritopia’s own organically grown fruits and vegetables. We will locate at the Farm Stand close to The Coffee Shop and Joe’s Farm Grill.

Informational Meeting for Generations @ Agritopia on November 27th

There will be an informal informational meeting regarding the upcoming construction of Generations at Agritopia, the long anticipated independent and assisted living facility . The meeting will be held for Agritopia residents and business owners on November 27th at 6pm in the cafeteria of Gilbert Christian School K-8 facility located in Agritopia. There will be representatives from the general contractor and Eric Johnston, head of operations for Generations at Agritopia. This is will be great way to find out more information about leasing, purchasing, service offerings and construction schedules and concerns.

3rd Annual Stems and Steins

The Agritopia Homeowner’s Association Social Committee is hosting it’s third annual Stems and Steins event on Saturday, November 10th at 6pm. This event is a great way share your favorite wines and beers and to connect with fellow neighbors. Cocktail attire is requested and cigars are encouraged. Dinner will be catered by Romeo’s Euro Cafe. We are encouraging neighbors to walk to the event, a coat and shoe check will be provided. This event is reserved for homeowners only. Along with your contribution of your favorite wine or beer, please bring canned food items for donation. If you are a homeowner interested in going and did not receive an email invite, please contact Gina Sharpe at ginajk10@gmail.com. We look forward to raising a glass with you!

Generation Gets Building Permit

Generations at Agritopia® has received its building permit from the Town of Gilbert. The innovative project featuring independent living, assisted living, and memory care is a key component of an Agritopia founding principle: being a multi-generational community. Generations will be jointly developed by IPA (Investment Properties Associates) and RCS (Retirement Community Specialists). RCS will also manage and operate Generations. Groundbreaking is expected to begin in early January and construction will take 13 months. Prior to completion, a visitors center will be constructed so that prospective residents can reserve a spot.

Join our Fall 2012 CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture)
The 2012 fall CSA season starts September 29th and goes through November 17th. You will receive a weekly basket with a variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers naturally grown on our farm in Agritopia. The food baskets will vary from week to week depending on what is looking best in the fields at that time. The cost for the season is $200. Generations at Agritopia®

Generations at Agritopia®, a planned unique senior living development within our community has taken a major step forward. On June 30, IPA Generations LLC bought the approximately 5 acres of land along Agritopia Loop (next to the Community Center) from Johnston Farms LLC. This makes way for the project to begin construction later this year.

Senior living has been a part of the Agritopia master plan since 1999 and is an important component in making our community one for all ages and stages of life. Just as Agritopia is not an ordinary community, neither is Generations. It is designed by the same architect that designed the homes in Agritopia and is designed to integrate into the community. Many senior living facilities are located on random parcels of land that have no connection with a community and the residents feel isolated and segregated. Generations is connected with existing pathways and faces onto the soccer field. It is our hope that the residents of Generations consider themselves a part of the Agritopia community as a whole.

Generations is 85,000 square feet and will have approximately 100 residential units. These include: independent living, assisted living, frail care, and memory care. We expect that as construction begins, there will be an on-site office where one may enquire about openings for senior family members.

U-Pick Peaches Starting This Weekend

Beginning this Saturday, May 19^th the Farm at Agritopia® will be having u-pick peaches and apricots from 7 am until noon. This will continue every Saturday until all the peaches are harvested. Last year was such a success that the picking season only lasted a couple of weekends. Make plans to come out soon before they are all gone! In addition to the u-pick peaches this weekend, our Farm Stand (located just south of The Coffee Shop) will be open Saturday from 7am until 1 pm. The Farm Stand at Agritopia® will have over a dozen different fruits and vegetables for sale. In addition to our Farm Stand, you can purchase fruits and vegetables from our harvest at the Gilbert Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings from 7-11 am and at the Chandler Farmer’s Market on Thursday evenings from 3-7 pm through the month of May. We look forward to picking peaches with you!
